Hi, it's me again! Remember? That gal who blogged about her engagement 4 years ago and her pregnancy 2 years ago? Yep. Same one. I'm still here, just been busy with all life has to offer as a new parent.
Today, I wanted to share all the exciting things that have happened over the past year for this O'Polka family.
January
Annalise had her first road trip to IL to visit Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas.
February
Had the first of many cousin play dates, and, 3 month photos. Annalise also learned to roll over around this time.
March
Annalise tried her first foods, I started working for Beachbody, and Great Grandma came to babysit for a few days.
April
Annalise had her ears pierced and first swing ride. We also stopped breastfeeding this month.
May
Bought our first home, Annalise turned 6 months old, and we watched the
O'Polka boys in their first triathlon.
June
I ran my first 5k, Jason started working in the field, and Annalise started standing.
July
Annalise had her first swim lesson from mommy and Jason and I celebrated 2 years of marriage.
August
Annalise got her first teeth, took her first steps with the walker, and I competed in the Warrior Dash.
September
We got an abundance of produce from our garden, I participated in the Beachbody Super Saturday Event, and we celebrated our Nephew's 3rd birthday.
October
Celebrated our first Halloween, made new friends, and Annalise began walking unassisted.
November
My sweet girl turned 1 and we had our first big get together at the new house.
We also got our first big girl car seat and took a 5 generational photo on my Dad's side.
December
We went to our first wedding in over a year, rode the Santa Express with family, exchanged gifts with loved ones and learned about Jesus through the Bible Annalise was given last year from Great Aunt Judy.
We learned how to be a family of three instead of two, bought our first home, celebrated birthdays and anniversaries, lost weight, gained friends, and grew as individuals.
2013 we had our ups and downs but one things for sure, I learned more about myself as a wife and a mother than any other "hard" year as a single woman. I wouldn't change it for the world and I'm so excited to see my little family evolve in 2014.
Happy New Year!
