One Smart Cookie

I LOVE this age!

My sweet girl turned 14 months old Saturday and her communication skills have just exploded since.

While she's still the stubborn, sassy, and bubbly gal we met in the beginning she's really coming into her own as she has preferences for EVERYTHING.

And, a real love for cooking like her mom and dad. This girl get so excited about food and "helping" with food, makes me wonder if we'll have a little chef on our hands in the future. ;)

She's not shy about trying new foods either. Pomegranates were a hit with dad and goat cheese with mom.

And she sure knows her baking equipment already.

And, while we still indulge in pizza, pastas, and cakes we also recognize that it's important to fuel her with the right foods. Much like when I grew up as a child; sweets and pop were special occasion treats not everyday indulgences. Healthy eating is definitely a priority in this house!

When we're not playing in our real kitchen we try to play with the one at Nana's.

Our newest and most interesting stage has been the "helper" stage. If you're doing something she wants to be a part of it and by golly you better let her give it a try! Sprinkling= check! Mixing= check! Stirring= check! Cleaning up= work in progress...

It absolutely melts my heart when she wants to share her creations too. Like eggs and toast with her baby doll or mashed peas and half eaten raisins with mom. Sure, why not? Nom, nom, nom.

Thanks baby girl, mommy loves you!
