If you can recall, I've posted about making granola before as breastfeeding snack.
Well, this recipe is my favorite and much easier to make.
It has 8 ingredients:
-salt
-butter
-oil
-flour
-almonds
-oats
-honey
-vanilla
In addition to almonds I added; dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, flaxseed meal, and raisins.
Making it a sweet and salty pick up after a work out.
It is also a host for dietary fiber, omega 3s, iron, and potassium. YUM!
I'm using this granola as a healthy go-to if I'm in between meals and feel hungry or after a sweaty work out if I'm having hunger pangs. Sometimes you just have the urge to eat even if you're not hungry.
Might as well be healthy right?!
You can fill sandwich baggies for an on-the-go snack in your purse, diaper bag, or car.
It also stretches the batch out since these ingredients aren't always the cheapest ;)
