5 weeks old

This sweet little peanut is 5 weeks old now and growing like a weed! 

She's still about 21 inches long and just under 8 pounds.  That's nearly a two pound weight gain from birth. :) Grow, baby, grow!

She is responding to certain sounds now and smiles if you make goofy faces at her. 

For over a week now we've been able to sleep through the night with only one feeding throughout. 

(Knock on wood it stays that way)

She continues to show us how strong she is by holding her head up and checking things out around the house.  She's also rolling over. I got her to roll over four times for me this morning! Tummy to back. Next is mastering the back to tummy part ;). 

She loves her ocean themed play mat and coos/grunts at the seahorse. Guess it needed talking to. ;)

Oh, and she's started this new thing where randomly, out of nowhere, she'll shriek. Not sure if its to get our attention or if she is just discovering her little voice but whatever it is, is adorable. 

We're finally getting a grip on this parent thing and dividing our time between housework, family, friends, and the upcoming holidays. 

Speaking of...I better bake some cookies so she can get her first taste of Christmas goodies. ;)
