We're 24 weeks today. Just a mere 16 weeks left until we meet the newest addition to our family.
I found this neat animation at pregnology.com. You simply slide the bar and it shows how your organs adapt to the growing fetus. No wonder I'm starting to feel those pesky third trimester symptoms already...
-shortness of breath
-feeling full faster
-round ligament pain
-aching/spreading hips
-frequent urination (as if it ever let up)
My linea negra is appearing again ^^^^^
Does it look like a soccer ball is in there?
Cause that's the size of my uterus now and Liam is the size of a cantaloupe!
What's else is my little man up to this week?
-His kicks are becoming stronger
-His skin is becoming more opaque
-He's starting to look more pink
-He's packing on more fat
-His brain is growing quickly and his taste buds are refining
-His lungs are practicing and developing "branches of the respiratory tree"
What's even more exciting is that this week marks his first "viable" week. Meaning, if he was born he may have a good chance of surviving with extensive Neonatal Care.
Let the countdown til the third trimester begin! 3 weeks and counting!
