We're 5.5 months pregnant today. Feels really weird to say that. Pretty soon we'll be in the third trimester and even beyond that, single digit weeks! Ah!
This week Liam is about the size of a spaghetti squash, or papaya, you know, those odd shaped things nobody has tasted at the grocery store. Yeah. That.
He's measuring in at about a foot long and weighing a pound. My guess is he's a little more than a pound by the way my appetite has been lately. ;)
His eyes, lips, and eyebrows are even more distinct as his wrinkly skin is starting to fill out.
He's also sleeping in cycles- about 12 to 14 hours per day. I notice he's most active between 9-11pm or when I'm typically craving a snack. Coincidence? In fact, most times I feel him move are prior to or during a meal. Hungry little fella in there seems to get just as excited about food as his sister. I may or may not have inhaled a banana in less than two minutes just a bit ago. Whoops!
Me? I'm doing fine. Exhaustion comes in waves. I find myself more irritable when I get hungry or hot but usually I'm pretty mild tempered. I find that I'm making just as many if not more trips to the restroom this time around since he's lying so low. I'm sure that will only get worse as he gets larger.
I've also continued to have Braxton Hicks sporadically. Guess my belly is more sensitive this time around. Hopefully that doesn't mean anything preterm later on. Fingers crossed.
More than anything I'm just hungry. ALL.THE.TIME. Craving fresh fruits and more recently ice cold beverages. Glad our garden is fully planted now. I may just eat all the radishes before the weekend. :)
Until next time...
