So, I'm not usually one to obsess or be upset about my weight. I've always had a short build with "thunder thighs" and broad shoulders (which wont change). And after having a baby I know that my body will never quite be the same but I can't help but think about all the changes it (my body) has been through and be a little sad.
Knowing the above, I don't want to make my goals unrealistic.
But, I want to set a few goals regardless.
These goals include but are not limited to;
1) I want to lose at least 10lbs,
2) I want to participate in the Susan G. Komen Iowa Race for the Cure again only run this time,
3) I want to do the color run with some girlfriends July 13th (5k),
and lastly, 4) I want to be able to wear a bikini on a vacation with my hubby and not feel self-conscious.
Me before the baby weight (165).
Me at 39 weeks pregnant (174.4).
Me 4 days post partum (158).
Me 2 months post partum (154). The "before" picture.
While I feel pretty good currently and know I should not be dieting because I'm breastfeeding...my plan of attack is merely to adjust my eating habits and exercise more frequently.
I have not ran in a very long time and for the first time the other night I ran nearly a mile without stopping. That's big for me. Funny because I used to run cross country in high school. :/
And, because I have a 2 month old and won't be able to frequent the gym as much as I'd like, I will instead use those days off to do core work and use my dumbbells at home.
Maybe I'll fire up the Kinect and dance around with Annalise haha!
Here's to reaching all my weight loss goals and being healthy for my baby girl in 2013!
Until next time....Wish me luck..
