We're Halfway!! (20 wks)

We did it! We've made it halfway through our pregnancy so far. We are 20 weeks 2 days today and have got about another 20 to go. Approx. 139 days that is... ;)

Just for fun and a recap. Here's my "bump" from last month too.

Holy cow! I can't believe what a month does to both baby growth and belly growth!
(Also what a little sun does :S...I was pretty pale)

This week baby is:

Baby, fetus at 20 weeks - BabyCenter

-This size of a banana! 6.5" CRL (head to rump) and 10.2" from head to toe.
-He/she is swallowing more which is great practice for his/her digestive system.
-He/she has working taste buds.
-Finger and toe pads are finished growing.
-His/her facial features are more prominent now.
-He/she has tiny eyelashes and eyebrows present!

*Baby's next task is to start filling out-watch out mama you're going to grow quickly!*

And Mom?

I'm doing great! Though still a little fatigued at times, I have much more energy than before. I do have the following symptoms:

-The frequent urination fairy is back..
-Restless sleep
-Vivid dreams
-"Pregnancy Brain" (brain farts)
-Lower back aches
-Increased appetite

The good news...I've gained a couple pounds. Which would still put me at 7lbs under pre-pregnancy weight but well on my way to surpassing that soon. :S Watch out scale...

Our next appointment is July 16th. This will be a regular exam with hopes and intentions of finally scheduling the anatomy scan. Pretty soon we'll be finding out if this little babe is a guy or gal and if all his/her parts are measuring healthy and on target!

On a side note- Jason and I just recently upgraded our phones and am now proud to say I am a smart phone owner! With internet capabilities and a 8mp camera I will soon be sharing pictures and videos of my baby boy or girl directly to the internet! Sweet :) And I'm sure Jason cannot wait either, he's not a sit-down computer user. This will be much more convenient for him.

Pregnancy Health Tip of the Week:

With temperatures rising make sure you drink plenty of water. It's good for the amniotic fluid surrounding baby, leg cramps, headaches, and cellulite that may or may not be forming. For a twist, cut up some lemons or cucumber and add it to the water. It will be light and refreshing!

Cheers :)
