April showers bring May flowers..wait, March has flowers and showers..

Quite a bit has happened since my last blog post. First and foremost, the rise of tulips, daffodils, and lots and lots of grass! Jason's had to mow our yard twice already..and I've had to weed a few flower beds. I can't believe how fast the grass has grown these last few weeks with a little rain and heat. We're still cautious about putting anything in our garden too soon so that'll have to wait till the end of April.

Also in our happenings this past week were visiting Galesburg to see my folks and helping my brother and his better half with their new house! We're so elated for them. :) Its a HUGE space for just the two of them! Additionally, the family visited the Knights of Colombus for the Policeman's Ball where we attempted to "break a leg" and mingle with a few retired officers and coworkers of my fathers.

Last but not least, I've been experimenting with a few http://pinterest.com/ ideas. The other day I saw and idea for sprucing up your drinking water. You take a regular ice cube tray, cut up lemons and limes, putting the slices in the tray. Fill it with water and wallah, instant "lemon water" after its frozen and added to your drink. I think it'l be great for backyard BBQs and Iced tea!

Well, that's all I've got for a March update. I still can't believe today's March 30th, where did the time go? Pretty soon it'll be the middle of Summer and I'll be begging for Spring weather back. At least there will be enough of a lull in the rain storms for some 86 degree weather on Sunday :).
