Life really hasn't slowed down since this little Mr. was born.
He's now one month old and following suit as his sister in the strong baby department.
The little stinker has nearly launched himself over this boppy pillow several times and insists on holding his head up when you carry him around over your shoulder.
A few fun facts about Liam:
-he hates hiccups (which he has multiple times a day)
-burps and farts like a sailor
-loves tummy time
-gives cheesy smiles when he nurses
-pretty durable when it comes to big sis picking on him
-starting to notice the monkey mobile and our smiling faces
-eats about every 3-3.5 hours
-sleeps better when mom is nearby
-loves bathes
-wearing size NB diapers (not for much longer) and 0-3 month clothes
What does the fox say?
Sadly this is a 0-3 month sleeper and I've officially had to retire the NB clothes. Very few of them fit. In fact, he's getting super long and has quite the pot belly. Plus, some growing chubby cheeks I just love kissing. :)
In other news, this past week I resumed daycare which primarily occupies my time.
I have two full-time kids and one part-timer. Knowing how Annalise acted out when we first brought Liam home, I thought for sure it'd be a rough week having to share her toys again.
Surprisingly (with just a few hiccups) all the kids have done well. A couple rough mornings but they've all gone down for naps without incident and have shared toys better than I expected.
This fort loving (almost) two year old has been both a terrible two's monster and complete joy. She can be a real bear some days but has REALLY blossomed with her language and learning these last few weeks.
A few fun facts about Annalise:
-she LOVES broccoli, peas, and green beans
-would eat pickles all day if you let her
-is starting to form full sentences with words like "I want, I has, and/or"
-is back on track with potty training and is only changed 3-4x a day
-enjoys watching movies in the evening to unwind before bedtime
-can count to 12
-knows the colors orange, purple, blue, black, and brown
-can draw a circle and triangle
-can sing about 50% of the ABC song
-loves being outside and plays by herself at the park
-has memorized certain books and prefers to read them to me now
-adores her little brother but gets rambunctious when she's tired
Everyday I'm blessed I've been able to be a part of these learning experiences and hope that by staying home with them I enrich their growth in some way. Admittedly, there are also days I really have to make time for myself too. Cause it's literally kids, 24/7. Sometimes I forget what adult conversation is like and I end up talking my husband or my friend's ear off. Whoops!
Such is mom life.
Until next time...
